Reported performance and real performance are not the same number.
MKTG is a marketing agency working across the UK and Australia. We work on the four things that decide whether the numbers you act on are real: what your traffic does when it arrives, the systems it moves through, the tracking that records it, and the tests that show what your spend actually caused.
- UK and Australia
- Five sectors
- Ten years with one client

What we do
Four sides of the same job.
Conversion work fails when a winner is read on the wrong metric. Systems work fails when two platforms disagree about one customer and every report downstream inherits the argument. Tracking fails quietly, without ever throwing an error. And an advertising platform grading its own homework will always mark generously. They are the same problem wearing four costumes, and closing the gap in one place makes the other three cheaper.
Conversion and personalisation
Most businesses buy more traffic long before they have earned it. We work on what the traffic does once it arrives, which is usually where the cheaper growth is sitting.
Test design and read-outMarketing technology
CRM, automation, ecommerce and analytics, and the joins between them. Selection when something genuinely needs replacing, and recovery when a build has stalled halfway.
Selection, integration, recoveryMeasurement and tracking
One set of numbers that marketing, finance and the board can all use. Tracking, consent, server-side tagging and attribution that survives a long sales cycle.
Tracking, consent, attributionIncrementality testing
Geo-lift and holdout tests that separate what your marketing caused from what would have happened anyway. The difference is usually larger than anyone expects.
Geo-lift and holdout designWho this is for
The work lands where there is already a marketing team, enough media spend that a percentage point is worth arguing about, and more than one system holding customer data. The person who writes to us is usually the one who has to defend the marketing number in front of the board, or the one being asked why two reports disagree.
If you are pre-launch, or one person running everything, we are almost certainly the wrong call, and we will say so on the first reply rather than after the second meeting.

Client work

Why our read is worth having
We sell nothing we could recommend.
We resell no software, we place no media and we take no commission from any vendor. Nothing we put in front of you has paid to be there. Most budget decisions rest on a number supplied by the party being paid to spend it, and the reason our number is worth more is that we are not that party. It is also why the answer is sometimes to keep exactly what you already have.
Fixed positions
- We resell nothing
- We place no media
- We take no vendor commission
- Scoped work, never time by the hour
- Documented handover on every engagement
How an engagement starts
-
First
You tell us which of the four areas you are asking about, what is already in place and what is driving the timing. A conversation, not a pitch.
-
Then
We look at what is actually there: the spend, the funnel, the stack and the reporting. Enough to know whether we can help and what it would take.
-
Scope
A written proposal with the work, the sequence and a fixed scope. Quoted against what the work is, so you are never buying time by the hour.
-
Handover
The work, and then a documented handover. A dependency on us is a failed engagement rather than a business model.
If a full engagement is more than you want to commit to first, the tracking and consent audit is fixed in scope, needs read-only access only, and returns nine named checks with the evidence behind each one. It is the smallest sensible way to find out whether we are any good.
Talk to us
One email starts it. No form, no queue, no account to create, and no discovery call before anyone has told you anything useful.
That opens a message to info@mktg-consulting.com with the four things we need already listed. Answer what you can and we will ask for the rest.
What to include
- Which of the four areas you are asking about, or that you are not sure
- What is already in place, and roughly how long it has been there
- What is driving the timing, because that usually decides the shape of the work
We reply to every enquiry within one working day, including the ones we are not right for. If it is not work we should be doing we will say so and, where we can, say who should. A site promising a reply and never saying when is a promise nobody can hold us to.
